    Sir Charles Wheatstone

    Invented the stereoscopic viewer in 1832, presented to the Royal Society in 1838. Website devoted to him https://charleswheatstone.com/ Kings College holds the original stereoscope. In 2016 Dr Brian May, also known for being a guitarist in Queen, and Denis Pellerin gave a lecture there on Wheatstone’s life’s work on the stereoscope.
